The Dirty Dark West is the second poster from my Blood Diamond musical lyric. It is meant to be an ex response to the comment about Africa being “The Dark Continent” which is a term that has been used to perpetuate negative stereotypes against Africans and justify colonization.

The Sun goes to Die in the West is the first line of a musical lyric that expresses the lack of education, and protection for the children of Sierra Leone, West Africa.

“No Diamond, No Food, No Life” is a continuation of the Blood Diamond lyric. This lyric allows the readers to understand the daily life of a child mine worker from Koidu City, Sierra Leone. If the kids do not provide diamonds at the end of their shift, then they get no food. no life.
